State Association Scholarship
Once
again the Nebraska Auctioneers Association & Auxiliary has
exciting news concerning the awarding of the 2008/2009 scholarships.
Three scholarships (1 - $1000, 2 - $500) will be awarded at
the State Convention held June 6-8, 2008 in Lincoln, Nebraska.
The Scholarship program benefits members by assisting their
children and/or grandchildren as they pursue higher education.
Eligibility requirements are as follows:
- Applicant must be a child or grandchild of an auctioneer that is a dues paid member of the Nebraska Auctioneers Association.
- Applicant's parent(s) and/or grandparent(s) must have attended the Nebraska Auctioneer Association's annual convention at least 2 out of the last 5 years.
- Applicants applying must be graduating from an accredited high school and have been accepted into a qualified college, university, or a school of technology or have completed the past year at a qualified college, university or school of technology (undergraduate).
- Applicants may apply more than once, but can only be awarded a scholarship one time.
- Before the scholarship money is awarded, the winner of the scholarship must successfully complete one (1) quarter/semester of higher education. A check for the full amount will be made out to the scholarship winner and the school that they are attending.
- Scholarship applications will be distributed by REQUEST ONLY.
- Scholarship packets can be mailed out on FEBRUARY 26, 2008 and completed packets must be returned and POST MARKED BY APRIL 4, 2008. Winners will be notified by MAY 4, 2008.
